The Global Health Emerging Scholars (GHES) Fellowship is a prestigious, fully funded 12-month program supported by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) through the Fogarty International Center. The program prepares new generations of health researchers and professionals to tackle emerging global public health challenges through international collaboration and mentorship. Fellows will gain hands-on research and practice experience at one of 16 approved partner institutions located across Africa, Latin America, South and Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania. The program is managed by a consortium of U.S. institutions including Yale University, Stanford University, University of Arizona, and UC Berkeley. Eligibility requirements vary depending on applicant status (U.S. Postdoctoral, LMIC Postdoctoral, or U.S. Predoctoral).
