Bennington College Young Writers Awards

The Bennington College Young Writers Awards is an annual writing competition open to high school students in grades 9-12. Students can submit entries in three categories: poetry (three poems), fiction (short story up to 1500 words), and nonfiction (essay up to 1500 words). Winners in each category receive cash prizes. Finalists who are admitted and enroll at Bennington College are eligible for a $100,000 undergraduate scholarship ($25,000 per year, renewable for four years).
