Charlemagne Prize Fellowship

The Charlemagne Prize Fellowship is a one-year non-resident program for researchers, policy thinkers, innovators, and future leaders working towards the advancement of the European Union. The fellowship focuses on addressing future societal challenges in Europe. Fellows receive a stipend of up to €25,000 per research project and have the opportunity to conduct independent research or work in a group. The program includes travel, networking opportunities with top experts, and participation in the annual summit in Aachen, Germany. Fellows are required to identify a host institution that can provide research facilities and a suitable working environment and have the option to collaborate with a mentor. The 2025-26 fellowship topic is ‘Shield or Share: How to Navigate Europe in Times of Division?’
